Little Gems is an understatement. Powder Mountain is exactly what it sounds like, a mountain of never ending powder. Snow Basin is the gold standard of ski resorts with the gold chandeliers and bathroom fixtures, with long runs and plenty of mountain to play on.
We arrived in Eden, Utah to our very isolated condos with no night life or restaurants, so cooking your own meals was the order of the day. And we have lots of great chefs in this club. We did have a catered dinner and a left-overs happy hour to which everyone contributed.
Skiing/snowboarding was what we were there for and we got a lot of that. Many of us were treated to extended private mountain tours by York, a delightful, entertaining, and knowledgeable guide. Since we had a private shuttle to and from the two resorts , we experienced long days on the mountains, with plenty of shared lunches and late afternoon happy hours.
The trip ran fairly smooth until we were to leave Snow Basin. Our bus driver got mixed up and went to the condos to pick up our luggage first instead of picking up the group. That made for some stressful times when we needed to get to the airport in time to check-in. But we made it with time to buy a quick dinner before boarding.
My thanks to Cynthia for all the detailed information she put together for our trip, and thanks to my partner-in-crime Deb. Most of all, thanks to the group for making this trip easy to lead.
