PADRES GAME June 25, 2023

Unlike any other Action event, this event started with a Happy Hour 2 blocks from Petco Park about 1 hour before the Padres vs Nationals game was to commence.

11 Actioneers met at the Half Door Brewing Company, where we had secured a large table, which was our meeting point. Jerry Jobs joined the preregistered gang of 10 ticket holders.  The weather was mild and we arrived at our seats just minutes before the game started.

We had wonderful group seats that were in the sun for the first half of the game, which changed to shade by the 5th inning.

Note sure if anyone paid attention to the score, but the following participants enjoyed a wonderful Sunday afternoon in downtown San Diego:

Left bottom to right top: Paul, Diane, Jerry, Roger, Jessica, John T., Janet in the sun.

Janet and John T. with our wonderful view from the seats.

Juliette, Jerry, Diane, Paul, Carole, Janet, Jessica, Roger in the shade (after 5th inning).

ACTION GOES BOWLING June 29, 2023

Half dozen Actioneers took to the lanes for a night of bowling at Mira Mesa Lanes.  “Bubba” Sanford was the clear champ of the group, scoring multiple strikes, with Anne P following in second.  Laurie S had a distinctive style often sliding onto her backside after ball release.  Cindy happily lost her title of worst bowler in the group to Deb R.  Most of the group went on to Ballast Point brewery for libations after the serious bowling exertions.  Though Action appears to only have a small contingent of bowlers, they are diehards and have asked for another event to be scheduled soon!

ACTION END OF YEAR PARTY  July 29, 2023

This years End of the Year party a blast from the past. Bright pink, tourquosie blue, and big hair -- Actioneers had a great time dressing up as Madonna, Don Johnson, and was that Jon Bon Jovi?! We had a sunny day and gorgeous sunset, at our venue out at Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation in Carlsbad.

We enjoyed a color spread of appetizers and drinks to welcome us, and filled up on the Mexican buffet for dinner. Delicious desserts, homemade of course -- which to choose? Yum! Seemed like everyone was on the dance floor (working off the dessert?) jammin' to DJ Rob.

It was a fun night and a great year, as we look to the future year and ski season. For more photos of the party, see 2023 YEP, here.
