Camping & Hiking in the Laguna Mountains


 August 20-22, 2021
Join fellow Actioneers for a weekend of hiking and revelry in the Laguna Mountains, with camp host John Thomas
The campground sits at an elevation of 5,600 feet, forested with pines and oaks with plenty of shade. 

$50.00 Event Registration Fee
TENT  CAMPING ONLY – no RV’s.  Mostly flat, shaded tent sites.


The $50.00 registration fee includes camping fee, meals, beverages (Friday dinner, Saturday morning full breakfast, Saturday lunch and dinner, Sunday continental breakfast.) and parking*. Such a deal!


Campground is available beginning 2 pm Thursday but bring your own food and drink for Thursday and Friday morning. John will arrive on Friday August 20.  Water and vault toilet available on site.  Showers available next door at Laguna Campground.



The campground is located 50 miles east of San Diego, California. Take I-8 to the Sunrise Highway (State Route S1) exit.   Go approximately 15 miles north to Laguna/El Prado Campground exit, just beyond the 26 mile marker, and turn left. Just past the entry fee station go to the right to El Prado Group Campground.    BIG SAGE is the first campsite on the left with the parking lot at the entrance to the campsite.     



Parking in our own parking lot (20+), so please carpool & park carefully to allow room for others.

Attendance is limited to those who have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19, or who have been tested within 72 hours prior to event with negative test result. It is recommended you have a photo of your vaccination card or a negative test result on your phone.
