Riding Recommendations:
Riders should bring a bike in decent working order, a helmet (protecting your brain is always a good idea), comfy riding clothes, a warm layer, sunglasses, optionally a rideshare app on smartphone for any unexpected adventures.
No need for a fancy bike, but good brakes are a must, and multiple gears are highly recommended. I'll be there an hour early with pumps and a few tools for minor adjustments, so if your bike needs a little TLC, come early.
I also suggest bringing a spare tube, pump, and tire levers. Patch kits are great, but sometimes the leak is impossible to find or the tube has simply given up on life. Peel-and-stick patches are my favorite: quick, easy, and no crusty old glue tubes.
A small backpack or fanny pack is fine, but a bag mounted on the bike will make for a more comfortable ride.
