Example 1:
Wesley & Matt want to go on the Utah and Winter Park trip. Wesley gets in line for the Utah Trip and Matt gets in line for the Winter Park trip. Wesley signs himself and Matt up for Utah. Matt signs himself and Wesley up for Winter Park. The first person done gets in line for the Mammoth trip. Wesley and Matt have a drink and chat with other members while they wait in line for the Mammoth trip. Both sign up for the Mammoth trip and are looking forward to a great season with fun people.
Example 2:
Susan and Robb want to go on the Big Sky and Whitefish trip with their friends, Megan and Jim. Susan and Robb stand in line for Big Sky and Megan and Jim stand in line for Whitefish. When Susan and Robb get to the front of the line, they can't register because they didn't sign up for membership. They are told to sign up for membership and get back in line. Megan and Jim are able to sign themselves up, but cannot sign Megan and Jim up because they are not members. (They are huddled over their phones trying to register). Unfortunately for them, they miss out on both trips, as the trip numbers are limited and available to members only. Megan and Robb are able to sign up for trips once they become members, but are too late for the smaller, boutique trips and are waitlisted. Susan and Robb don't get on the Big Sky trip, because Megan and Robb cannot sign anyone up until they themselves are members.
Moral of the story - make sure you are a member, and make sure whoever is registering for you is a member. |
