HAPPY HOLIDAYS AND

A SNOW-FILLED HAPPY NEW YEAR!

SUSHI BOAT—PARADE OF LIGHTS

December 9th, Action hit the lighted waters of San Diego Bay, with 55 members and friends, for our almost annual Sushi Boat. Loaded with all-you-can-eat sushi and sake, we enjoyed the holiday themed, lighted, boats in the yearly Parade of Lights. Many thanks to the crew of the Condor, we had a great time.

ACTION WRAPS UP A LOT OF SMILES

Action chose the San Diego Foster Kids for our Holiday Giving Drive, and once again, Action members did not hold back on their generosity. We collected more toys and games at our December Happy Hour - General meeting, than ever before. The Action Board and Promises2Kids thanks you a Ton!

The San Diego Council of Ski Clubs Gala

The San Diego Council of Ski Clubs once again hosted a very nice gala at the Holiday Inn in Point Loma. About one dozen Actioneers participated and generated some heat on the dance floor. Action's own 2017/18 "Man of the Year" Tom Sekreta handed off his title to Dave Arnold from North Island ski club for 2018/19.

Happy Hour at Lululemon Carlsbad

Happy Hour at Lululemon in Carlsbad was a success. The store provided a beautiful table of cheese, meats, and fruit for members. Action members attending were 2:1 men:women. After all the men complaining about the expense, it was funny to see so many showed up! Men ended up purchasing the fleece lined wall pants, long sleeve shirts, hoodies and shorts. Nobody admitted buying the talked about “lulu boxer”!

Women primarily ordered the fleece lined tight and long sleeve base layers. Some bought yoga and workout tights, down coats and sweaters.

All in all it was a success, We had our own personal shoppers, Roger marketed the ski club and we may have new members... primarily we did what we do best - drink, eat and be Merry!
