Hi Action Bikers,
ChristinePolta(760-518-1404) and Mike Goldman(619-995-9313) will lead a ride next Sunday 8/5 along the Bayshore Bikeway to Coronado and back.
Bring water, a helmet, sunscreen, spare tube or patch kit.
Lunch near the ferry landing. Lots of choices..
You can start with the main group at Pepper Park in National City or join us along the Bayshore Bikeway for a shorter ride.
The shorterroute (see next page) is almost completely on bike paths. There is a short stretch we ride on Glorietta Blvd. Even that has amarked bike lane, though it is not protected by a curb.
Ride slow and watch for pedestrians (lots of kids and dogs) along the last mile or two to the Ferry Landing.
This ride is flat, though there are often strong headwinds from the north along the Silver Strand.
